SBI General Two Wheeler Insurance Coverages

Exclusions of SBI Two Wheeler Insurance

SBI general Insurance Company does not cover any loss or damage to the Two Wheeler / its Accessories caused due to

  • Depreciation or any consequential loss.
  • Loss due to Mechanical/ Electrical Breakdown.
  • Normal wear, Tear and General Ageing of the vehicle.
  • Loss caused due to Usage of Vehicle Other than in accordance with limitations as to use.
  • Damage caused due to driving the vehicle without a valid license.
  • Loss / damage caused due to war, mutiny or nuclear risk.
  • Damage to / by a person driving the vehicle under the influence of drugs or liquor.

Along with these Exclusions, SBI general Insurance Company Deducts its Coverage at some rate on different Parts of the Vehicle. The Rate of Depreciation offered by SBI General Insurance is as follows

Depreciation Rates in SBI Two Wheeler Insurance

  • All rubber / nylon /plastic parts, tyre and tubes batteries and air bags – 50%.
  • Fibreglass components – 30%.
  • All parts made of glass – NIL.

Rate of depreciation for all other parts including wooden parts will be as per the following table

Additional Bonuses Offered by SBI Motor Insurance

SBI general Insurance Company offers Additional Covers for the Customers taking Motor Insurance. The Addon Covers offered under SBI General Two Wheeler Insurance are

  • No Claim Bonus.
  • Transfer of NCB.

No Claim Bonus: A No Claim Bonus (NCB) is available on Renewals if you do not make any Claim during the Policy Period. This NCB Discount can go as high as 50%. (NCB will only be allowed if the Policy is renewed within 90 days of the expiry date of the previous policy.)

Transfer of NCB: You have the Facility to Transfer the Full Benefits of No Claim Bonus when you shift your Motor Insurance Policy from another Company.

Personal Accident Cover for Owner / Driver

Along with the Above Additional Coverages, you can also get Personal Accident Cover under this Policy. Under this cover, the Owner or Driver of the Vehicle will be Insured. The Company will pay the Compensation for bodily injury or death of the owner / driver of the vehicle.
